When teaching using PowerPoint, is it possible to also display another application window?


If you need to display another application window whilst running a PowerPoint presentation – perhaps to demonstrate a specific procedure – you can do so by using Reading View to mimic a split screen facility. 

Change the display of the presentation to Reading View from the bottom right corner of the screen (rather than Slide Show view)or on the view tab:

This will display the slides in a resizable window (rather than full screen) which will allow you to resize it in order to leave space/split screen for another program without obscuring any of the  presentation:
