2723Can I access Microsoft 365 services after I graduate?
If you've been using Microsoft 365 as a student here at Sussex you may well have downloaded Office apps like Word and Excel to your own computer or devices, or you may be using OneDrive to store files online. You're able to do this because we've purchased a licence for our students and staff to use it all for free.
The day you complete your studies at the university, this access will change. You will no longer be entitled to use the full Microsoft 365 suite as you are now what we call a Graduand student.
However, you will retain access to your Sussex Outlook Online mailbox for 14 months after this date.
Further information for student leavers
If you want to keep using Microsoft 365, Microsoft will offer you the option to continue on the same basis as before once you have purchased a subscription using a personal account.
