Payroll giving: give as you earn
Find out how you can support charities through our payroll giving scheme.
What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is a simple, efficient and flexible scheme, allowing Sussex employees to support and make monthly donations to any UK registered national charity, local charity or recognised good cause such as places of worship, schools and scout groups, through their salary.
Not only is Payroll Giving super simple, but it's also tax effective. This is because your donation gets deducted before you pay tax. For example, if you donate £5, the cost to you in your take-home pay is £4 and HMRC pays the rest.
You can choose how much you want to give and are able to change the donation amount, change which charities you would like to support, or even stop if you wish, at any time.
Setting up regular donations is beneficial for charities as it helps them to plan and budget, compared to one-off donations.
Whether you want to support animal welfare, conservation and environmental concerns, disability, homelessness or LGBTQ+ communities, you can find a charity that’s right for you.
