On this module you’ll focus on current issues in conservation as you develop your independent learning.
Topics include, but are not limited to,
- intensive farming practices
- rewilding projects
- national parks and protected areas
- invasive species
- issues in marine conservation.
You’ll study a selection of important conservation topics in depth, with flexibility for investigating sub-topics.
Module learning outcomes
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of current issues in conservation science.
- Critically evaluate and communicate current conservation science methods and data to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and work effectively and independently whilst conducting an independent investigation to advance understanding in a topic.
- Synthesize knowledge and present information through a variety of visual and written media.
