On this course, you’ll explore human rights in the contemporary world, examining:

  • their philosophical and historical evolution
  • the forms and uses of human rights in practice
  • how they are made real in different cultural and political contexts.

Taking an interdisciplinary approach, you’ll consider how politics and culture shape global human rights practices and how different groups understand, respond to and challenge these interventions.
