Equalities, diversity and inclusion
We believe every student and member of staff must be provided with equal opportunities to make the most of their talents and lives. Individual and group differences are recognised, valued and nurtured. We work to ensure our students and staff feel welcomed, accepted and heard.
Our commitment
Our School is committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), including protected characteristics such as gender, race, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, and gender reassignment.
Equality is defined as providing equal opportunities, so that every member of staff and student is offered a level playing field in terms of rights and opportunities.
Diversity is about recognising, valuing and nurturing individual and group differences in professional and academic development.
Inclusion is about ensuring that all members of staff and students feel welcomed and accepted in the School.
How we will fulfil our commitment
- Opposing and removing inequalities and discrimination in all their forms
- Monitoring admissions policies, teaching delivery, School regulations and employment practices to ensure that they take appropriate account of EDI issues
- Promoting an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect among all members of the School community
- Treating all staff and students with dignity
- Challenging negative stereotypes
- Enabling classroom and extracurricular discussions of EDI issues
- Ensuring that the teaching and learning experience is balanced and broad-based
To support these aims, the 日韩无码 Business School has created an Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group made up of staff and students from across our School to inform and monitor our progress towards achieving these goals.
